TOMAS ETZLER - a "new" media star

This guy is a star. A real one.
Almost by the way a news flashed across our media universe mussy with so called 'celebrities'. Tomas Etzler has got EMMY prize for contribution of expansion of modern technologies in journalism. I remember when I saw him for the first time on TV with his pictorial news from China, it really hit my eye. His reports are really somewhere else and have this 'something' that divides the obvious report from the exceptional ones. He worked for CNN since 1999 to 2006 and in 2004 he was the first to put in practice a unique BGAN satellite report system which pushed the frontiers of the reporter's work in terrain and with its help, CNN was the only channel to fully cover Izraeli-Hizzballah conflict later in 2006.
And it's quite typical for our country that we mentioned this real star among journalists only after he gained success abroad and we even learned about the prize he got half a year later. Of course, we do take care more of our models, anchormen, misses, corrupted politicians and other 'celebs'...
It's really good to know that our nation has still people we could be proud of. Unfortunately most of them live and work abroad.
Anyway, if you spot this guy on TV, spring your attention. It's really worth it. And just for the record, he makes all his reports himself - camera, editing, script, everything (!).
